Some interesting questions that were raised during the class discussion about the Most Likely to Succeed film:

  1. How will the change in status-quo affect higher education in terms of how highly competitive programs (such as UVic’s education program) select their candidates?
  2. What happens to students who do not complete project-based curriculum? How do they move forward from incompletion after the deadline?
  3. In regards to the students who chose to stick with the status-quo: is it the educator’s job to change this perspective? What evidence do we have that a more holistic approach to developing core competencies is just as effective as employing a standardised curriculum?
  4. Who gets to set guide-lines for open-ended curriculum?
