Free inquiry for younger grades is more about creating choice in their learning and supporting them throughout learning. Students in the younger primary grades need lots of support through their inquiries.

Reassuring that it took her awhile to get there – it’s hard to figure out how to do that ourselves, and it’s important to just pick one area we want to focus on as we grow as educators.

Minecraft Education debrief 

MineCraft.Edu includes worlds that are more deliberately educational than what we explored in class.

Considerations in terms of resource use in the game – important aspect of MineCraft that should be touched upon when students are engaging in these worlds. What might the impacts of mining be in the real-world? Also pointing out how these have different affects in the game (certain ways to log trees so that they regenerate rather than just being clearcut).
